I’m sometimes asked if using social networking tools like Twitter can help build a Global Resorts Network business. Twitter is an amazing tool and, like all social networking sites, it can be a wonderful tool to build your business or it can suck the life out of you. Used improperly, it can also hurt your reputation online…not a good thing!

An enthusiast of all things that add “high-touch” to my “high-tech” websites, I started using Twitter just a short while ago. In the process, I have connected with some amazing people and have begun to get a feel for how things work in this very lively social network. If you’re serious about making money online, you need to try Twitter.

I’ve been active in various forums for years and have enjoyed getting to know people there. Each forum has a different emphasis, a different blend of peeps and a different set of unwritten rules you really have to learn as you go, in addition to each forum’s policies and rules.

Twitter is like a global forum, on steroids. You only pick who you want to “follow” and, as time goes by, you learn the value of being selective, rather than worrying about being popular. Just because someone “follows” you doesn’t mean you necessarily want to “follow” them. As you add people to follow, you will become quite overwhelmed unless you decide the best policy for following people who choose to follow you.

Some people follow everyone back. Some just follow those they really want to glean from and perhaps at some point, get to know better. The process creates opportunities to connect with people whom you’d probably never get a chance to connect with offline unless you were “properly introduced!”

Using Twitter as a way to expand one’s Global Resorts Business or expose more people to the deeply discounted access to 3-5 start resorts with Global Resorts Network’s exclusive luxury travel membership is a great idea, if you take the time to learn how people interact with each other within Twitter and how not to come across as just another spammer. Here are a few tips:

1. Be authentic. Don’t pretend you’re someone you’re not. Tweeters are a great bunch of people with a wide range of backgrounds, interests and goals for using Twitter themselves. Don’t fake it. Think of it as a big party.

2. Do add value to the people you follow and who are following you. After observing a while, jump in and contribute with real value. Add a good joke, a useful link or a heads-up on a notable event that just occurred. Feel free to “reply” to other’s tweets when you really have something to add.

3. Don’t spam. Keep your promotional tweets discreet. This is not a billboard for the GRN membership . It’s a place to share your expertise, learn from others and let people know what you do and how you can help them in a low-key manner. Think of Twitter as a place to build your network, connect with people and learn how it all works without burning bridges and wasting the opportunity. If you don’t take this warning seriously, you will lose followers and/or get blocked by those you are following. Don’t spam!

4. Be brief, concise. Learn to say what you need to say in 140 characters or less. You will find budurl.com a useful tool to shorten URLs that you want to include in your tweets. Also, when replying to someone else’s tweet, whenever possible, make your response clear enough that someone else reading only your side of the conversation has a clue about the overall meaning of the conversation you’re in. It will be easier for others to get interested in your conversations and find value in what you have to share.

Is the Reverse Funnel System a scam or a new business model? Well, let’s see.

Ty Coughlin’s Reverse Funnel System is an automated online marketing sytem that is used to promote a high-ticket travel product, Global Resorts Network. It is an unusual system in that what it promotes is the ability to run a serious global online business with tremendous automation…no telephone prospecting or follow-up, no explaining, no convincing, no closing, no sales background or internet marketing experience needed.

Beyond your own product purchase, the reality is that the only thing that is required for the system itself is the financial capital to get the system up and running, and either pay for traffic generation to the site or learn to do it yourself. Other than that, there is none of what is traditionally considered to be required in order to build a global network marketing business. No hotel meetings, no long hours on the phone when you wish you were with your family or out with the guys…

Wherever you go with your laptop, anywhere in the world where there’s a good internet connection, the Reverse Funnel System can work for you. Individuals are paid for product purchases, not for signing up. So it’s a clean money trail…no scam involved…disappointing I know for the scam-busters out there, but they will have to look elsewhere for a good scam to shoot down.

OK, what about the “revolutionary new business model” I mentioned? Just some hype? I don’t think so. Just stay with me for a moment…

In today’s fast paced information exchange facilitated by the internet, network marketing companies are launched with amazing (frightening, actually!) frequency. These new network marketing companies frequently find a “heavy hitter”, someone well known in the industry, to start recruiting distributors to form their distributor base for a big launch. A big media announcement is blasted out and they are “cleared to launch!”

Here’s what happens then! Hundreds of people already involved in a network marketing opportunity, smelling the sweet smell of greener grass on the “other side of the fence,” jump from one company to another, taking hundreds of teams from one company, leaving “high-and-dry” leaders who have worked hard to build a solid foundation.

There are only 2 things that can stop this from happening to you.

1. Results…if you can assist your new business partners/associates/whatever you call them in your company, to get their financial investment back ASAP, and then grow their businesses with big checks that can help them escape that nasty cubicle they’ve been stuck in for years within 90-120 days, you have a much better chance of developing and retaining a solid network of business associates on your team.

2. A different business model…what if it wasn’t really about the great product (I love our product!). What if it wasn’t about the company? (It’s a great company!) What if it wasn’t even about the marketing system?!!! (What?!!!)

What if it was about the team? What if you had a team that produced such great results no matter what they promoted that you had an incentive to go where they went? But what if this next time, when timing, science or technology develop the latest, greatest product and your team decides to jump on board with the best-opportunity-ever…this time…no one “jumps ship”…no one quits the first opportunity…everyone keeps promoting the first top-tier opportunity and doesn’t even get qualified to join in the next one until they’re making at least $10K-$20K/month.

What if it was about multiple streams of income, done together, as a team? Now that could be powerful! It has been done on a small scale, but not successfully. Heck, until the and its influence as a new paradigm in network marketing, it’s been a challenge just to build Reverse Funnel Systemone stream of income, let alone multiple streams of income!

(and those will be addressed in an upcoming post! )Just remember that if you outsource the marketing of your “Reverse Funnel System”, there will still be some people who want to talk to you personally. Hire a good Virtual Assistant to catch phone calls and emails when you are “out of pocket” so that if someone really does need to speak to you, there’s an efficient way to reach you. Don’t make people wish they’d never heard of you and your “system!”

4. Getting discouraged and quitting if results don’t happen fast enough. There are 3 ways to success with the Reverse Funnel System.

I. Already know traffic generation and just “turn it on” and direct it to the most amazing converting website you’ve ever seen.

II. Outsource to someone who knows traffic generation to do the same as above.

III. Learn how to drive qualified traffic to your site and watch what happens as sales roll in. Sales do roll in. But you must take care of the first part of the equation first: learn how to drive targeted traffic to your site. The climb to the summit of that learning curve is not overnight. You have to be patient and learn what works. If you join with me and our fabulous Global Mentors Team, you’ll have the assistance of some of the top income earners in the company who will share their secrets with you. But it will still take some time. Don’t get impatient.

I heard a great saying this week: You have 3 choices: Be Good; Get Good; or Just Quit.

5. Getting discouraged if the people you bring on board don’t achieve results as fast as you do. You cannot want something for someone more than they want it for themselves. Be helpful. Direct new members to the team training site and the team forum (if you’re with the Global Mentors Team). No matter what team you’re on, direct new members to the Reverse Funnel System training calls and backoffice training.

We are seeing great duplication in our team, much higher than anything I’ve ever seen anywhere else. But the reality is that some people aren’t willing to learn, to challenge themselves, to spend real time on a real business. To “plan, do, review.”

Lead by example. Those who want to accomplish big goals with this system will do what it takes to learn and grow and succeed.

The bottom line with the Reverse Funnel System is that it’s an amazing system, with a compelling message to people who are tired of making nickel and dime MLM checks. Ty Coughlin has hit a home run with this one. So have I. So can you.

This is not your grandma’s old MLM! (though grandmas are welcome here too!)

So here are the 5 big mistakes people make with the Reverse Funnel System:

1. Starting without adequate funding.

Read the website. It advises having $2K-$5K to begin for startup and marketing costs. There aren’t any requirements that people must begin with that, but it would be wise.

Depending on one’s internet marketing experience, it can take time to “fill your funnel” with qualified prospects. Be optimistic, but be realistic. Any skill takes time to learn. You just can’t stick your head on your computer screen and get an “instant internet marketer” download!

2. Believing that all types of marketing are equal or that purchasing massive quantities of “biz-opp seekers” is a solid marketing plan. It’s not. A good sponsor should be willing to talk to you about your budget and your goals and assist you in developing a solid pro-active marketing plan to achieve those goals in the shortest time possible. Additionally, a team forum can provide great opportunities for brainstorming and creating the right plan of action for you.

3. Believing that NO personal support will be needed by those you bring into the Reverse Funnel System.

Honestly, Ty Coughlin’s Inner Circle has some of the best training calls I’ve ever heard. There are 3 live advertising training calls a week, most lasting 1 1/2 to 2 hours. There are 8 other live training calls a week, many of which allow a Q &A time. Ty Coughlin himself opens up some of these calls to speak with team members 2 or 3 times a week. So that’s great.

And we also have email support and live online chat support throughout the day in our backoffice.

But the reality is that some people will need a little personal assistance from you. They may just want to connect with you personally, hear the voice of their sponsor, be assured they haven’t joined some “pyramid scheme” and may just need a gentle nudge in the direction of all those great Reverse Funnel System team member resources.

The Reverse Funnel System has been around now for a little over 20 weeks. In that time, it has generated almost 6 million (oh my gosh!) dollars in commissions for those using the system. That’s simply incredible!

Those kinds of results in that short period of time have created a real buzz on the internet, with people throwing out positive and negative experiences with the Reverse Funnel System.

While I sure understand the positive results, what I’ve been amazed at is the “whining” I see by grownups who “can’t make it work!”. The Reverse Funnel System is not for everyone! It’s just not. The Reverse Funnel System does all of the explaining, telling, selling, follow-up, converting to sales, etc… But it does not drive traffic to itself. That’s the marketing system member’s job. That’s our main job. It’s pretty much our only job with this system! But signing up for the Reverse Funnel System and activating the site does not bring traffic by the site. It’s not a mall!

Sometimes I think people see the dollar signs (I did!) but don’t take the time to really consider the work it will take to get those dollar signs out of their imagination into their bank account! The Reverse Funnel System is a real business! It’s not a money game. You don’t get paid just for signing people up and you don’t get paid for getting business cards, rearranging your desk or talking on the phone.

You get paid when you drive large amounts of targeted traffic to the site and they apply to work with you and pay you for the very cool product! Then those $1000 commissions start coming your way (see the payplan here). From there, things start multiplying because of a really unique compensation plan. That’s why almost $6 million dollars have been paid to our Inner Circle team members! (Inner Circle is the name of the team that Reverse Funnel System members are on. Global Mentors is the specific team I’m involved with…more on teams in a follow-up post…)

I’m frequently asked if the Reverse Funnel System can work for everyone? My opinion is that it can. But the real question is, “Will the Reverse Funnel System work for everyone?” And the answer to that is, “No!”

If someone is looking to “get-rich-quick”, this may or may not be the right opportunity for them. While I don’t advocate “get-rich-slow” (!), many people looking for quick results are looking for a quick fix to a difficult situation in their lives. If they already have traffic generation or internet marketing skills down…more about that in future posts …it’s very possible to generate very big 4 and 5 figure weekly checks quite quickly. If someone does not know about traffic generation (getting eyeballs of qualified prospects to your website), it will take time to learn those skills. Fortunately, our team does a great job helping individuals get up and running quickly and can stear them to the quickest lead generation methods for each situation and different goals and skill levels.

Additionally, our Global Mentors team has coops and “hands-off” lead generation options as well. This business can be as “hands-on” or “hands-off” as one wishes, especially since our primary focus is marketing, driving targeted traffic to our highly converting websites which also followup and close sales with many of our prospects.

While the incomes being made here are phenomenal and record-breaking for this industry of direct sales and network marketing, it is a worker’s program! Like most things worth accomplishing, there’s a “learning curve.” But it’s well worth it!

The Reverse Funnel System is a new automated marketing system. It is the promotion, explanation and sales vehicle for an international high-ticket product.

Online marketing systems have been around since “Al Gore invented the internet”! hahaha Well, you know it’s not true that Gore had anything to do with the origins of the internet, but what is true is that this marketing system is unique. Its success has actually spawned copycat systems (currently getting cease-and-desist “requests” from Reverse Funnel System attorneys!) already!
