Background and Philosophy
I am a homeschooling mom of five, ages 7 – 20, two boys and three girls. I am also an entrepreneur. Because I am not tied to outside school schedules or a 9-5 J.O.B., wherever I have an Internet connection, I can be in my office! It's a "digital commute!"
I find that I'm constantly trying to walk the balance between work and home. It's an ongoing challenge for me. This is something that most entrepreneurs deal with, but being a homeschooling mother of five only exacerbates that challenge. It takes time to learn the rhythm required to walk that fine line – giving adequate time to both business and life. (And because our children are home with us, they are able to watch us face those challenges head on and respond to them. It turns our lives into an open book of education – a lifestyle that exceeds anything an MBA program could teach them.)
Having a life that is focused on our home, our family and our business allows us to apply our faith to every aspect of our lives. Our core values have established in us a worldview that influences our every decision. Our faith is tremendously important to us and it is something we live, not just talk about.
I've been involved in network marketing from way back. My first experience with MLM was when I was in my mid teens. I got into it and was hooked on the "dream" from the outset. Because of the length of time I've invested in this industry, I have developed some very strong opinions about the health and the strength of the industry. I have seen the old school ways fall by the wayside and have, with excitement and anticipation, watched and participated in bringing new school methods into niche markets where companies have allowed me to veer from the "generally accepted" traditional MLM marketing methods.
There aren't many of us yet. Too many people are still stuck in the old ruts of seeing one another as competition and seeing every new recruit – that is, everyone who has a wallet – as fresh blood ready to be tapped, rather than seeing them as someone who is a rich gold mine in their skills and leadership potential. Even people who have done well in MLM are getting tired of this mindset and are looking for better solutions.
In addition to the huge attrition rate, estimated by some experts to be near 95%, multi-level marketing has created a horrible reputation for itself. This industry has promoted mediocrity and marketing assault for so long, that we have been desensitized to what I refer to as the “puke factor.” The culture of our industry encourages stealing other people, in order to work our business. It fosters emotional and mental manipulation when we don't perform to the company's “standards.” We're told we're not committed, not serious and don't care about our family and friends if we aren't hounding them with our calls. What a terrible philosophy!
In my business, if a service or product company don't work for me, I fire them! (Which is why choosing wisely is so important.) Yes, that seems contrary to everything we've been taught. That's GREAT news to me! I hate the old way of working MLM businesses. No longer do I feel pressure to strain relationships with friends or family in order to meet a certain quota. Instead, I have the thrill of working with people who WANT to be working with me, people that resonate with the way I do business. I want no more part in Mickey Mouse checks and dwindling downlines.
Obviously not everyone is going to be interested in working with me. There are some people who prefer to make their list of 200 friends, family and acquaintances and call them every month ("Making the list" is THE “sacred cow” of network marketing in most circles! NOT in ours! We help you BUILD a list of targeted, qualified prospects interested in what we have to offer! There are people who will feel better working with someone who wants to do it the way it's always been done. And you know what? That's WONDERFUL. The people that I want to work with are those who understand that in the past, they have only been taught the easiest techniques, regardless of the fallout because of the emotional impact of unprofessional strategies. They have had only the lowest common denominator business skills explained to them - and they aren't happy with that idea. Instead they are ready to create a new generation of MLM.
Yes, there is a steeper learning curve. I don't deny that you can make money with “make the list” method – but you can also make money with a GED. (If you couldn't, McDonalds would never remain in business.) Learning the new methods is a lot more like earning money with a graduate degree, instead. I will teach you skills, rather than content. No more school in the box. Instead, I'm going to help you get a personalized education program: one that is geared toward you, your style of leadership, your skills and your products.
Network Marketing as I teach it is for people who see themselves as leaders, not just carnival barkers standing about calling out the benefits of their product. Leaders are people who understand leadership and the importance of it. They are people who are willing to go the extra mile. If you know that you're a leader or a leader-in-the-making, but just don't know how to move forward, I can help you with that. #1. Have you personally used the membership?
Yes. I went to the town of Granby, Colorado (just outside of Rocky Mountain National Park) and stayed at Kicking Horse Lodge. 2 bed/2 bath condo. 7 nights, total bill was $398. Here's a video of my experience and condo life. Saved $1000.
#2. Is this another membership where we have to wait to travel or send off certificates?
No, not at all. This is a full service travel agency. With us you have the ability to travel immediately without certificates to mail in, no black out dates, and no waiting.
#3. When did Global Resorts Network Start?
The membership was developed in 1986 and has been selling (and continues to sell) in the private sector for 3 times what Global Resorts Network offers it for. In March of 2007 Global Resorts Network became the exclusive marketing arm to bring this membership to the public for sale. Just in the short time it's been offered through Global Resorts to the public, many affilates have already made millions.
#4. How and when will I receive my membership package and by what method will it arrive?
Membership packages are web based. No hard packages arrive by mail. You will receive an email notification of your username and password to log into membership in 7-10 days.
#5. Customer service is very important to me; if I need help or have questions about a particular resort, is there someone behind the scenes that can assist me?
Customer service is available to answer any and all questions about your luxury vacation. In fact it's so important, each response is reviewed and checked to make sure that accurate information is given insuring all members get the best possible service.
#6. How am I going to learn how to work this business?
You must be willing to learn and take full responsibility for your success, 100%. Having said that, I meet one on one with each of my business partners every week to coach. I have a website coach to help you with your website if needed, so you're well taken care of. You have every opportunity to succeed. The question is will you take action and implement what we teach?
You will learn how to master many strategies. Attraction marketing and personal branding is KEY through the use of several medias. I have a KILLER Training platform I will introduce you to that offers step by step, click by click instructions for ALL things internet marketing.
#7. Do you have people in place who can assist me with my computer skills? I'm not very good on the computer.
We have two team coaches for about $100 that can work with you to build your website. Almost no one starts off good on a computer.
I have a FABULOUS training platform that all business partners plug into. It's so good, they rarely need my assistance.
#8. How much total money should I have for marketing and advertising?
Some teammates generate huge incomes simply by purchasing the lifetime membership then using a smattering of free marketing like YouTube, Twitter, Blogging, Articles, Craigslist, Squidoo, Facebook, etc.
Others use more traditional marketing like buying leads, placing ads in newspapers or using Google Adwords pay-per-click. If this is the case, we recommend you have at least $1K - $2K to get you through a 60 day period until you know what's going to work for you.
#9. How soon will I make money?
Some are in profit mode within the first month, some the second month, some the sixth month and some join and never do anything. It's up to you. How fast can you get your coaching underway and take seriously the building of your business? How willing to learn are you? Will you implement? There are too many variables to make promises.
#10. Can you give me a feel for the "team"?
We're a team of fun, like-minded entrepreneurs who work smart and play hard. We meet up together around the US 4 times a year and do fun things like Hot Air Ballooning, Horse Back Riding, Golfing, Bicycling, etc., and take time for 7 Figure Masterminding. Everyone is encouraged to attend. Everyone is treated with respect and we all support and help one another. If you like that atmosphere, you'll fit right in.
#11. Am I able to transfer to your team if I already joined with someone else in Global Resorts?
Unfortunately, every week we get several emails and phone calls from people who joined with other teams in Global, only to find themselves with little true support. To transfer, you must get your upline and their upline's permission, plus Global's permission, plus mine. Most uplines are good. I ONLY recommend it as a LAST ditch effort to save your business. I will tell you to get with your sponsor and work out your differences as a first choice.
If that doesn't work, I charge a $300 transfer fee for my time and coaching and it's a gesture of good faith on your part that you're willing to work. Again, I'm looking for the committed and serious players in entrepreneurship. I only have so many hours a day and I need to make sure I'm spending them with the right people.
